People in the Falklands
Not just us...
Feb 07 - We went on a works outing up to Volunteer Point - this is a an hour and a half on "roads" and a couple of hours off-road.
Four cars in convoy - the coolest of us was Harry Lang - but he is only six months old.
John would not have been satisfied if we hadn't got at least one of us bogged.
Nuala duly obliged...

But the General Manager is there to help any of his staff that need it.
Pulling out Nuala

Four cars did return home. Plus we saw the Kings... and gentoos... and magellanic penguins... and whales... well, whale spouts. Not good enough for any pics, I'm afraid.

These were the cars in the convoy - a fair reflection of the sort of car you find here!

But visitors and locals too.
Jan 07 - a cruise liner too scared to come into the harbour through the narrows....

This is not really a people picture - but the people who fly this are terrific pilots.
Seats eight including the pilot - plus a fair amount of luggage including eggs, chickens, cats - this year, a fair amount of meat has been flown as the government dropped the fare.

Of course, there was a competition to guess the weight of the giant squid.
This one was caught off the islands - and frozen... Not going to make very good calamares, I fear.
